Not only dogs deserve to be rewarded and not only through heroic acts. Any animals deserve to have a place in our heart. I’m a dog lover, too, but I get devastated whenever I see animals getting hurt and not getting the animal rights that they deserve. I even treat my dog like a child of my own and to any other animals I come across. I even take some photos of them whenever I can and sometimes, they will land right in my personalized checks aside from photo albums and scrapbooks. Anyway, thanks for the blog. It’s really worth reading & very inspirational!

This merely illustrates what a complete waste of time the so-called Drug War really is. In fact it is not a war on drugs, it is a war on American citizens. One person dies, 100 get to go to jail. How absurd is that? You want to take a huge chunk of wasted tax dollars out of the defecit spent budget get rid of the so-called drug war by legalizing soft drugs (sorry but X and Coke are soft - look at how many bozos are using the shit every week!!!)

America needs to wake uf to the reality that we can not afford to put everyone in jail, we cannot afford to run around the world telling othe rpeople how to live when we can’t even live up to our own expectations as a country. Talk about hypocricy…..WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!

I just have to say, here, that 760 doesn’t mean “San Diego”…it means some parts of Kern County as well. Which I find sort of strange since Kern and San Diego Counties are so far apart…

The writer is articulate and forcefully makes her point that McCain is not the best choice for president. The message in the article entitled, “John McCain’s Plea For Iraq and My Plea for America” is either deliberately or unintentionally meant for Obama supporters. Thus, it will find comfort in the sheltering arms of a “liberal harbor” made up of anti-war types, left-wingers, President Bush haters, haters of the idea that the US is a world power, anti-capitalists, and the best group of all - - - the ones who propose gargantuan federal expenditures for social programs, increased taxation, and the ultimate strangulation of the economic sector upon which funds for such expenditures are based. Ironic you say?

Yes, this piece will encourage many to cast their vote for Obama, but they were going to vote for him anyway.

Did it sway me toward Obama? Not a chance. I’m still for McCain.

Well-written opinion that argues McCain is not the best choice for president. The writer makes an interesting connection between McCain and “someone” named Vann.

Certainly, the message will find sanctuary in the “harbor” whose banks are crowded with hopeful liberals, anti-war proponents, and conspiracy advocates who would never have voted for McCain anyway.

Did it change my mind? No.

By the way, with respect to a response by one writer, who cares what 75% of OUR nations think. They don’t elect our presidents.

Nice and quick dedication to all those birthday people that get left out most years. I also read today that a person born on Leap Day is called a “leapling”.

On important year-milestones for leaplings then (like my young high-schoolers dreaming of turning 18 and then 21 years of age)…when the clock strikes midnight on Feb. 28th of a non-leap year, would that count as their “turning of age”? Or I guess would you say it’s at midnight on March 1st?
