So last night I chopped up an avocado that was half the size of my head.  I actually have about 35 avocados about half the size of my head that are residing on my kitchen counter.  Make that 34, the puppy used one as a tennis ball the other day.  The reason why my household has become a great spot for finding homemade guacamole is because I went to wedding this past weekend and the bride and groom gave out bags of avocados as part of their favors.  Last night I made shrimp cocktails for dinner because that is all we had…call me elitist…but it was true.  So I added avocado slices.  The night before we had avocado salad and you can bet that this weekend Costco will be down two large bags of tortilla chips and there will be a big bowl of guac served up with only the best margaritas that I can make, which frankly aren’t very good…but anyhow.  The reason I am blabbing about this is because the place where these avocados came from is not far from North County and I think if you like big, soft, tasty avocados you should check it out.
