The Carlsbad Police Department is offering parenting classes, according to the North County Times.  And while it would be funny if my headline were true…it’s not completely accurate.  The 10 week program is specially designed for parents who are having difficulty raising kids aged 11-18, which would make a lot more sense than dragging your screaming two year old down to the station and accuse him from stealing cookies from the cookie jar.  Advice for parents in that predicament: it might just be wise to come to terms that you have raised a “cookie monster,” and restrict his viewing of Sesame Street.  But I have to warn you, taking advice from this blog may not always be your best bet.  I would listen to the policeman.
