For those of you itching to take a trip overseas to the green sloping hills of Ireland-look no further than the charred burn areas of East San Diego County.  It sounds less appealing of course, but an article in the North County Times does a beautiful job describing the lush hillsides covered in vivid green grass and speckled with bright orange California poppies-which would obviously give the slight hint that you are not in fact in Ireland.  Of course as, pointed out in the article, all of this vegetation could dry out and become the perfect kindling for the next big wildfire-but really can’t we just enjoy a green San Diego for once?
