Just in Case You Forgot Today is Leap Day…There is a Frog in Place of The “L” on Google’s Homepage
February 29th. It only comes around once every four years. For those people whose birthdays fall on the respective date (like Paul in our office) it means that they probably age much slower than the rest of us. I guess that would put Paul at around seven years old now. He’s quite mature for a seven year old….well sort of. It also might be advantageous to actually get married on February 29th, that way you only have to remember your anniversary every four years. Also, if you have a child on that day you can save a bundle on presents, but I guess that’s something that you can’t really plan. Also, I realize that February 29th has little to do with North County News except for the fact that a guy name Paul, who lives and works in North County had his birthday today, on a leap day. If you also live and or work in North County and your birthday falls on February 29th you can let me know and in four years I will dedicate the blog to you. Happy Leap Day and Happy Birthday Paul.
Nice and quick dedication to all those birthday people that get left out most years. I also read today that a person born on Leap Day is called a “leapling”.
On important year-milestones for leaplings then (like my young high-schoolers dreaming of turning 18 and then 21 years of age)…when the clock strikes midnight on Feb. 28th of a non-leap year, would that count as their “turning of age”? Or I guess would you say it’s at midnight on March 1st?
