Really the title says it all.  County Supervisors have decided that the only way to combat gangs is to start one of their own.  The members so far: activist Kathleen Crusing, State Board of Education President Ken Noonan, Serge Duarte, a special agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Katherine Valdez, a health and social services representative, and former North County Times publisher Dick High.  Their goal, according to an article in the North County Times is to “work with law enforcement and nonprofit community organizations to combat gang activity.  Now they just have to pick their colors.
