Okay so technically, the upcoming Police concert is not going to take place in North County, San Diego. It is however going to take place in San Diego County, so I figure three out of the four words is justifiable for writing about “Chula Vista” news. Plus I have had a mad crush on Police frontman Sting since I was like 12 years old. Of course not as bad as my cousin, Angela who nearly caused pre-mature deafness in my right year at their summer concert in Los Angeles, when she screamed “I Love You!” from the nose-bleed seats at a tiny one-inched sized Sting. For all I know, at the caliber her vocals reached he might have heard her. But I digress…The Police are coming to San Diego-to Coors Amphitheatre specifically (which will switch its name between now and then, as Coors is withdrawing as the main corporate sponsor). On that note, no matter your opinion of Coors as a beer, $10 for a tiny cup is outlandish.

Tickets for the show go on sale February 23 and you can bet on spending around $100 per ticket to see the famed rockers. But don’t start complaining, that’s nothing compared to the $400 red light ticket I got at the intersection of El Camino Real and Encinitas, which by the way is located in North County and it was in conjunction with a different kind of police, unfortunately in my case. So there you have it. The blog and the police ended up in North County after all, too bad it wasn’t the police that includes Sting. So get your tickets (for the band, not the red light) and don’t be screaming in my ears!
